A Political Joke

Do you know what George Washington and Joseph Biden have in common?  Nothing.

George Washington told his father he could not tell a lie, “I did cut down that cherry tree.”  Hunter Biden’s father repeatedly told the US he would not pardon his son.

There is no truth to the rumor that Joyless Behar defended Joe by saying on The View yesterday, “Well, he didn’t say which son he would not pardon.  Maybe he was talking about Beau.”

Too soon?  In today’s world, it’s never too soon.

What’s really curious is the fine print.  The Big Guy took out the Mont Blanc.  He absolved Hunter “For those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted.”

In other words, he went back eleven years and covered any crimes Hunter may have committed but hasn’t yet been charged with.  Hmmm.

Does this make one curious about the Burisma “work” Hunter did?  It shouldn’t.  After all 51 public servants within the DOJ and the CIA swore that Hunter’s laptop which may contain incriminating evidence of “pay for play” didn’t exist.  They wouldn’t lie either.

If you believe in the Deep State you can see why so many folks around DC are a bit edgy as Donald Trump’s inauguration looms and new sheriffs will be in town snooping around.

Yesterday, a tweet trending on X concluded, “Joe Biden did what any loving father would do by protecting his son and giving him a second chance.”

The problem is that only one loving father in the US would have such a chance.  You have to be President.  Talk about white executive privilege.  Also, Hunter has had way more chances than two.

Did Hunter celebrate by making snow angels on the WH lawn until the wee hours?

Biden handed Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy another two billion yesterday.  But the clock on the ruse is winding down.  Biden’s reelection got short-circuited.  Biden publically endorsed a laughing hyena before the Dems in the shadows could anoint their next puppet.  That ensured Trump got reelected. Trump already has Putin publically saying he wants a peaceful resolution.  The laundering stops here.

The no-pardon lie wasn’t Biden’s first.  He had to withdraw from his first Dem presidential nomination race back in 1988 for lying.  His incredible run as a public servant, train conductor, and 18-wheeler driver has included another falsehood or three.

Do you know how a politician is lying?  See if his mouth is moving.

The funny thing is the joke’s on you.

And only Hunter is laughing.

 

 

The Devil & the Deep Red/Blue State

One needs to be underinformed, a conspiracy theorist, savvy, dumb, smart, jaded, or all of the above to believe what is swirling around us these days.

After all, how deep is the red or blue deep state?  It might depend on how deep you look.

If black lives matter, why aren’t the media and the White House condemning the ultraviolent white terror group that just attacked a predominantly black Atlanta city and its police force?  Only the funder and founder of ANTIFA really know.  Take solace in the fact that the protests were mostly peaceful.

Concerned with the now Republican-controlled House, President Biden assured Americans yesterday, “I have no intention of letting the Republicans wreck our economy.”  Nuff said we suppose.

The President’s son keeps popping up as a possible beneficiary of his rental home(his dad’s), the storage location of classified docs(his dad’s), and his last name (his dad’s).  “Hunter was obviously fed detailed information on Ukraine so he could show Burisma why he was worth millions of dollars,” said Senator Ron Johnson(R) of Wisconsin.  Johnson continued, “Was this classified information? Did Joe Biden know about this?”  The $49,910 monthly rent seems excessive at a minimum even in these transitory inflationary times.

Hiding classified documents seems to be as popular as posting a dumb video on TikTok these days.  Vegas will give you +250 that Mike Pence thinks TikTok is the sound emanating from the old Cuckoo clock in his Indiana home’s comfy den.

At least Hunter’s dad is concerned about the health of the commoners.  One of his mouthpieces fed the frenetic folks yesterday.  Busy Joe Scarborough, the MSNBC host of Morning Joe, the lapdog of wife Mika Brzezinski, and water carrier for the Democratic Party, who already got three covid shots and just got a bad case of covid, said yesterday on air he should have gotten his fourth booster to stop this from happening.

Mika sat next to him and scolded him sentence by sentence.  You can’t get enough of these free shots that aren’t free you know?

Meanwhile, if you enter “how do I reverse the effects of spike proteins?” in the Google search bar you’ll get “About 8,790,000 results (0.45 seconds).”  There seems to be some interest there.

Conspiracy theorists on Twitter believe Damar Hamlin should have used the google search bar. They contend he isn’t alive because he has yet to show his face & the NFL allegedly used a stunt double at the game to cover themselves & boost ratings.  This one seems a bit of a reach unless you are a Saints fan still healing from the no PI call four years ago in the NFC Championship Game.

Maybe help is on the distant horizon.  Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Ralph Norman (R-SC) introduced a constitutional amendment yesterday to impose term limits on members of Congress.  This is Cruz’s third attempt after 2019 and 2021 attempts were as effective as Scarborough’s first three jabs.

The bill would limit Senators to 2 six-year terms and House members to 3 two-year terms.  A 2/3rds majority in both houses and 3/4ths of all state senates would need to vote yes to ratify it into the Constitution as an Amendment.  Such an amendment would have put Joe Biden out into the private sector about 24 years prior to his successful run from the basement for Prez in 2020.

Maybe help isn’t on the horizon.  Biden will soon announce that he is running again in 2024.

The orange-faced one who truly believes in the deep blue state has already announced that he is seeking the red side’s nomination for 2024.

Color us jaded.

 

 

 

Ten(+5) Piece Nuggets

Happy MLK Day.  There are 15 nuggets on your plate this AM.

  1. We wonder what Martin Luther King would say about the latest statue unveiled yesterday in Boston in his honor.  “I had a dream that all statutes aren’t created equally!”  Well, it’s art.
  2. Little did we know that during the 2020 election cycle, Joe Biden was maybe hiding more than himself in his posh Wilmington house’s basement.
  3. He claims to have no idea of the content of the documents.  Possible?  With him, yes it is.  One who would know, Barrack Obama is said to have once said, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f… things up.”
  4. Is there a chain of command for these Top Secret documents?  We would hope.  If so, let’s see it.
  5. Do you remember those dumb weird car rallies he held in the midst of the Covid hysteria?  Would they have not been better if he rode up in the Corvette that he’s so proud of and honked back? Maybe the Corvette was unavailable helping to provide cover for the documents in the “locked” garage.
  6. Does it make any difference if the garage was locked or not?  No.  Does it make it any less of a mess because “he’s fully cooperating with the National Archives peeps?”  He’ll say yes, but the answer is no.
  7. How in the world does the search for all(or more) get to be conducted by his lawyers?  Aren’t the documents, classified as Top Secret, also off limits to personal lawyers?
  8. WH Press Secretary Karine Jean Claude Van Damme Pepe Le Pew Pierre told a feisty group of journalists Friday that all of the documents were now safe and sound.  On Saturday Biden’s lawyers found another batch.  As she often laments, “I’ll need to circle back with you.”
  9. Should Biden have “vacationed” this past weekend in the very house where a few troves of said documents were found and in the process of being found?  The optics are worse than his Ray Bans on a cloudy day.
  10. How much time did Hunter Biden spend at Wilmington home where the classified documents were kept?  He provides that address and also claims he owns it on a background screening app in 2018. On that same questionnaire, he claims to be paying $49,910 a month in rent.  Which is it?
  11. There’s no way that the $49,910 rent is connected to the “10% for the big guy” reference on the email he exchanged with a few of his Ukraine-based Burisma business associates, is there?
  12. That laptop was labeled a non-story by most major media outlets for years.  Maybe it’s a story now?
  13.  MLK had a dream that “all men were created equal.”  Biden gave a speech at King’s historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta Sunday on what would have been the slain civil rights icon’s 94th birthday.  “Let’s lay one thing to rest. I may be a practicing Catholic(except for his stance on abortion we assume), but [I] used to go to 7:30 Mass every morning in high school and then in college before I went to the Black church,” Biden said. “Not a joke!”
  14. And, there you have it.  Biden and his family are just like all of us.  “Not a joke!”  Praise the Lord!
  15. Speaking of all of us, NY Mayor Eric Adams says that his city has no more room for migrants.  Old School: We are a sanctuary city.  New school: Don’t come here!

Ten Piece Nuggets-Random

Fresh and hot to hit the spot is a serving of Ten Piece Nuggets below.

  1.  Two old-school NCAA bluebloods duked (sorry Coach K) it out last night for the NCAA Basketball Championship.  Kansas overcame a 15 point halftime deficit to beat North Carolina and completed the biggest comeback in title-game history.  It was the fourth title for the storied Kansas team which is one less than the five Level I NCAA infraction allegations it is facing.
  2. Kansas isn’t too worried about them though as they gave Head Coach Bill Self a lifetime contract last April that pays him over $5 million per year.  LSU fired its head coach Will Wade last month for exactly the same- 5 Level I infraction allegations.
  3. The contract states Self cannot be fired with cause for violations that occurred before this new deal, meaning he can only be terminated without cause for whatever penalties are handed down to the program by the NCAA.  This makes us wonder.  If Kansas fires Self will the team then be considered selfless? Clearly, we’re asking for a friend.
  4. All of this brings us to a great quote about what the NCAA is and isn’t.  It was delivered many years ago but remains true to this day.  “The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky they’re going to give Cleveland State another year of probation,” said Jerry Tarkanian, then head coach of the Las Vegas Running Rebels.  Tark fought the law, and Tark won.  And it seems like Kansas, unlike LSU, is ready to do the same.
  5. This is the best time of the year for sports nuts and second isn’t close.  Last night was the NCAA basketball final.   Hockey and basketball are in the stretch run right before their playoffs begin.  MLB throws out its first pitch this week.  The Kentucky Derby is just around the far turn. The NFL Draft hype builds by the day.  This weekend in golf is the revered Masters.
  6. Will he or won’t he?  Fred Couples thinks he will.  Barring a setback over the next couple of days, Couples, one of Tiger Woods’ closest friends, believes Woods will play when the 86th Masters begins on Thursday.  “He’s kind of a tough guy,” Couples said.  They played a practice round together yesterday.  “He looked phenomenal,” Couples said. “What impressed me the most is he was bombing it.”  If Tiger tees it up The Masters will set a new viewership record for itself and second place won’t be close.
  7.  By now you’ve heard that Elon Musk owns 9.2% of Twitter.   The surge in its price since the announcement earned him a cool $386 million and counting.  That’s pocket change for Musk whose net worth is nearing $300 billion.  What’s the next shot in the billiard match?  Musk could a) ask for a seat or three on the Twitter Board of Directors, b) ask for policy changes (read as free speech), c) takeover the company altogether, or d) sell his shares and bank a tidy profit.
  8. Musk has 80 million-plus followers on Twitter.  Tesla spends nothing on advertising.  The Twitter platform would give the sly and wicked smart Musk a tremendous opportunity to tout whatever he chooses if he controlled its content, followers, and censorship.  Social media is maddening and fascinating at the same time.
  9.  U.S. Senator Mitt Romney should officially change parties.  Utah should vote to impeach him or vote him out of office this fall.  Why?  Because he’s a sheep in wolves’ clothing is why.
  10.  Real estate is expensive in Southern California. How expensive?  Black Lives Matter leadership allegedly purchased a $6 million luxury 6500 sq ft mansion with cash in SoCal using donation money, according to New York Magazine.  Why?  An April 1 internal BLM email states it is to “serve as housing and studio space for recipients of the Black Joy Creators Fellowship,” which “provides recording resources and dedicated space for Black creatives to launch content online and in real life focused on abolition, healing justice, urban agriculture and food justice, pop culture, activism, and politics.”  This makes the $30k per month that our government (you) is paying to rent a Malibu House to watch over Hunter Biden sound like a steal.  Could he find somewhere else to paint?  Could he find his laptop?

Sir Charles for President

Yesterday while channel surfing we stumbled across an NBA TV show celebrating Sir Charles Barkley’s 50th birthday.   Ernie Johnson sat down with Barkley and recounted his upbringing, his NBA highs and lows, his life post NBA, etc.  Nevermind that the show originally aired in 2013, it was quite good.

Why was it quite good?  Barkley was a breath of fresh air.  Barkley is always a breath of fresh air.  He’s such a well-rounded person (pun unintended) overall, and he has three key attributes that we relish.   He is authentic, honest, and funny.  Those are three characteristics that are far too often MIA.

In today’s world don’t you yearn for more, plenty more, of all of that?

For example, there was nothing funny about Tony Bobulinski’s interview last night.  Well, at least he sure seemed honest and authentic.  Did you not see it?  Understandable.  CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC so far have refused to run any of this, in their words, “unsubstantiated” story on the Biden family profiting from Hunter selling access to his father to foreign and sometimes communist countries.

Is there a shred of honesty in those outlets calling themselves news organizations any more?  And, make no mistake, while Fox ran with it on Tucker Carlson’s show, they aren’t a bastion of authenticity in the media any longer either.

And, what about the subjects themselves?  There’s nothing funny about Hunter’s documented troubled personal life.  And where is he?  Shouldn’t he be screaming from the mountain tops about the travesty of it all and how honest he and his father are?

Patriarch Joe has repeatedly denied knowing anything about the pay to play ruse that Hunter and his cohorts ran in multiple foreign lands.  Now last evening comes and goes and in written and audiotaped form comes undeniable proof that Joe knew even when he said he did not.  We’ll stop shy of saying that Joe directly profited from these arrangements, but authenticity of that sordid transaction is only a checking account statement away it seems.

Say it ain’t so Joe, again.  Or, admit that it is so.  Honesty is always the best policy we’ve been told.

An authentic and honest media of days gone by always fact-checked a dishonest politician.  The Watergate story was dug up by very hardworking journalists who would stop at nothing to uncover the truth.  Now, the only mudslinging is done by a compliant media to cover up the hole that the side that they have chosen has dug for themselves.

Charles Barkley has considered strongly, on multiple occasions, pursuing an elected political office.  We so wish he would.

There’s nothing funny about what we’re missing.  Honesty and authenticity used to go a long way.

Would the media even cover his campaign? Actually, now that we think about it, Sir Charles is in the media.

Perhaps he could cover his own campaign accurately.  It’s about the only way to get it done these days.

How Deep is the Deep State?

We always try to give credit where credit is due.  Therefore, we often give credit to the Democratic Party for their aggressive and concerted messaging.  They assimilate a powerful script, dole out the talking points to the appropriate parties, and preach the point of view over and again.

They are masterful at making the Republican Party and the current president play defense again and again.  Trump is offensive, but it’s hard to be on offense when you are always playing defense.

The Russian collusion narrative played to an interested national audience for two years.  But, it’s ending disappointed many.  And now, suddenly, two weeks before the national elections it looks like the script may have flipped.

Lo and behold, it looks like the Hunter is now being hunted.  The Hunter is Hunter Biden.  And, the bombshell revelations being gleaned from his abandoned laptop hard drive is only act one.  Email after email being released, and many more are to come this week, seem to have untidily linked his Ukrainian Burisma Board of Directors lofty position as well as his position with the Chinese company as nothing more than a pay for government influence storefront.

One even alludes to holding 10% of the payment for “the big guy.”  The big guy is all but identified as one former VP of the US, Joe Biden.  “Biden” or “Buyden” some are asking on Twitter, but we digress.

Some that are also asking are John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence, Rudy Guliani, a Trump advisor and personal attorney, and this AM also Senator Ron Johnson.  Johnson is actually asking for the FBI to release the file on this that they supposedly have had and held on to quietly since November of 2019 a full two months prior to the House impeaching Trump on, of all things, collusion claims.  Ironic somewhat?

What does the Biden family have to say about this?  So far Joe Biden has 1) called it a smear campaign, then 2) walked off mid-question from the reporter last evening who attempted to ask about it.  Late last night he pulled the shade down on his campaign till Thursday calling a “lid” till then.   Hunter apparently is down in some basement, like father like son, somewhere we presume.  Wouldn’t he come forward and vigorously defend his father?  Shouldn’t he?

The Biden camp has said some of the emails and conversations held might be accurate.  They further hinted that Joe might have met in an informal manner with some foreign officials embroiled in this.   Where there is smoke there is at a minimum more smoke.  Fire?  Hmmm.

What did the New York Times say in its Sunday edition about the story that its rival the New York Post broke?  Ever the environmentally friendly organization, they spared the trees as not one syllable was typeset on any of its pages.

Facebook and Twitter have severely limited the story’s spread citing “hacked” information, or “unverified” political attacks as the reason.   Adam Schiff went on a Sunday talk show and said with a straight face, “this story is more evidence of the Russian influence in our election.”

Presumably, Biden is using the downtime rehearsing all of his lines and talking points for Thursday night’s final Presidential Debate.   He better have a few good ones for this exploding story.  Surely this will be front and center then?  Or does he need them?

Kristen Welker, the lone moderator for the debate has deep Democratic Party ties.  Welker comes from an established Democratic family who has poured cash into party coffers, and to Trump opponents, for years.  In March 2016 Welker was busted on live television tipping off Hillary Clinton’s Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri about at least one question she planned to ask her during a post-debate interview in Michigan.

Could the VP of the US have directly profited by his position as the liaison for China and Ukraine under Obama with a big assist from his son?

Do you believe that there was a second gunman behind the grassy knoll in Dealey Plaza when Kennedy was shot?

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

Have you noticed a change in the demeanor of President Trump in the last week?  We have, and it’s been remarkable.

Put simply, he seems happier.  He seems more upbeat.  He seems to have more bounce in his step.

If our perception is correct, the obvious question is “why the change?”  We speculate on the answer, or really the answers below.  Maybe it has to do with a doctor, or really a bevy of doctors.

The first doctor that might have stepped forward to help was the RNC spin doctor.  The diagnosis of Trump had to be bleak.  Even the best spin doctor could not have delivered a positive test result on his first debate performance against Joe Biden.

Trump’s egotistical.  He’s narcissistic.  He’s hard-headed.  But did someone in his camp finally breakthrough, at least in the short run, and tell him that the nastiness and combativeness weren’t playing well through the TV back in Peoria?

The second doctor told him that he had bad news and good news.  The bad news was that he was COVID-19 positive.  The good news was that if he took all of the cocktail mix of drugs available to him that he would make a quick recovery.  He did and he did.  Was Trump reflective at 73 about his health and had a moment that said, life is good in spite of all of the jackasses in the party that uses a jackass for its logo constantly getting in his way?

Did the third doctor, maybe an accomplished doctor in one of the business disciplines, tell him to not worry about the polls showing Biden with a double-digit lead?  Maybe the polls are doctored the way they were four years ago almost to the day?

Did the fourth doctor (she’s not a doctor, but is so smart that she could be a great one) provide in front of an amazed America and a befuddled Senate committee the exact elixir to run, not walk, onto the Supreme Court?  Amy Coney Barrett has far exceeded Trump’s high hopes for a smooth sail onto the highest court in the land.

Was the tie in with Hunter, China, Burisma, and Slow Joe by the suddenly uncovered emails (how long do you think Rudy Guliani has been sitting on them?) linking the “pay to play” just what the doctor ordered?

Maybe, just maybe, it was a combo of all five of the above.

Two nights ago, at a campaign stop in Florida, he danced a step or four to the closing YMCA song.  Last night he unknotted one of his signature red satin silk ties and tossed it into the crowd.  Are happy days here again?

Did he and his troupe decide that the campaign was too focused on all that is wrong with America?  Did he fall too far down the rabbit hole that the Dems have drug him down time and again with their unrelenting and effective attacks?

And, now, with time running out in the fourth quarter does he want to remind you that America is brave, strong, free, and will survive then thrive again?

Is the stark contrast of an old, ashen colored, masked Biden holding a rally with no one there versus Trump energetically bogeying to the Village People going to help the undecided decide in favor of the flawed incumbent?

Or, does he know something that we don’t?

Don’t worry, be happy.

 

 

Party On

Did you get your invite?  Don’t fret if you haven’t.  Some parties are better than others.  And some parties when two parties are throwing the party can be real duds.

As Henny Youngman might say, “Take this Senate Trial, please!”

So who did get invited?  Cameras aren’t permitted to focus on those in attendance, but rather only on the current chosen one who is addressing those in attendance.  There must be a drone there somewhere capturing this though.  Wait, BBR is being told that the drone is actually Adam Schiff droning on and on in a monotone voice only his mother would love.

Each Senator may invite one guest to sit in the balcony to watch.  Rand Paul overheard President Trump saying that he might like to attend what the President called a “partisan charade.”  He tweeted, “I heard @realDonaldTrump would like to attend the impeachment trial. Mr. President, would love to have you as my guest during this partisan charade.”  Apparently Paul will be voting against the two articles.

Hunter Biden might get an invite too.  Although he might not attend due to other travel plans.  Seems like Biden is defying a court order to disclose his financial information as part of a child support fight in Arkansas while renting a $3.8 million designer home in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, with his new wife Melissa Cohen for $12,000 per month.  They married six days after they met.

Lawyers for 28-year-old Lunden Alexis Roberts who was a stripper at a Washington, DC, club Biden once frequented — said he failed to submit a slew of discovery materials.  DNA tests proved Biden fathered a child with Roberts.  A court order has been issued in Arkansas for his appearance.   “No comment” has been the word from his first wife Kathleen Biden, with whom he currently is expecting his fifth child.

Hunter desperately needs a few more board of director gigs like the one that might compel him in the Senate to testify to keep up with the child support.

No one from Russia is in attendance as far as anyone can tell.  Adam Schiff mentioned the country literally 30 times in his sermon yesterday.  Somewhat like Field of Dreams though, maybe if you say it enough they will come.

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton might yet get an invite as well.

If Trump doesn’t use the Rand Paul ticket maybe Bolton can invite his own mustache as his guest.  Surely it can fill a seat all to its own.

One hundred Senators were invited and all are in attendance for the six day a week marathon.  No electronic devices are allowed in the proceedings.  One hundred Senators regret that they could not send their regrets back after the formal invite.

What about you?  You’re invited to watch at least.  The number of TV’s, desktops, laptops, Surfaces, IPads, and mobile devices turning to other interests by the hour must be staggering.  Not to worry though.  All of the news channels and talk shows are watching and listening for you.  If you think Trump is guilty turn to CNN or MSNBC and you’ll be proven right.  Speaking of the right, if you think he is innocent, turn to Fox News and you’ll be proven right about his innocence.
